Reddit user u/Alimmouch reposted the employee’s sarcastic goodbye after seven years in the same position. The text of farewell spread across the network and resonated with many users who feel like they are stuck in an unloved job.

For seven years, an employee stayed in the same company, writing in the topic of one of the mailing lists:

“I’ll keep it brief because I’m leaving now. But not before I take this opportunity to say goodbye. I have returned to my exact position for the seventh year and honestly cannot see the career prospects for me that your firm can offer me. Except maybe that the walls of the office have turned from green to white and back to green again. Who knows, maybe in the next 70 years I will finally be promoted to the position of these office plants, which was promised to me 10 months ago.
