Joaquin Phoenix Exits Todd Haynes Film Before Mexico Shoot
Joaquin Phoenix departs from Todd Haynes's upcoming gay romance film just days before the scheduled start of shooting in Guadalajara, Mexico.
In a shocking turn of events, Joaquin Phoenix has parted ways with Todd Haynes’s next project, an un-named purposed-built-on-board gay romance film, just a few days before the shooting starting in the film’s original location, Guadalajara, Mexico! The 1930s period piece, after both gentlemen falls in love, would kill a sad story about two of them who decides to abscond from California to Mexico. A follow-up of Haynes, the winner of the oscar nominated and highly acclaimed May December, the project had a significant concern that all of us would want to watch.
Phoenix has not given any reason to the public for his departure, and it had been reported that he had been in California already when he decided to call it quits. The project’s main other cast, Danny Ramirez of Top Gun: Maverick, was supposed to be Phoenix’s love interest. This current event provides the happening of the unprecedented first to watch how Haynes and the core crew at Killer Films will deal with the check-handedness of the project full of potential, and more importantly, who on earth would have the potential to physically replace Phoenix.
