Arsenal and Wolves Face Off in Season Opener

Arsenal will open the new 2024/25 Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium against a Wolverhampton Wanderers side hit by tough injury setbacks. The Gunners, who were EPL runners-up last season under Mikel Arteta, will look to get the season off to the brightest of starts thanks to the injection of new signing Riccardo Calafiori of Bologna.

The Arsenal lineup looks strong enough as they miss Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu due to injury concerns. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice will start for Arsenal having been with England at the Euro 2024 tournament. They are set to form a dangerous attacking unit with Havertz and Martinelli on the wide and central striking attacking units.

For Wolves, it will be a tough opening match to their season after missing key players due to varied reasons; the likes of Daniel Podence and Sasa Kalajdzic, both injured, and one of their strongest defenders Nelson Semedo, suspended. However, Wolves will desire to draw inspiration from within their ranks to stop Arsenal’s potential onslaught.
