Bolton Food and Drink Festival: A Culinary Delight

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival once again proved its strength and popularity this August Bank Holiday weekend, attracting numerous people although the weather appeared to hamper the event because of the interference of the Storm Lilian. Known for its rich and cordial atmosphere, as well as the diversity of events, the festival has attracted more than 200 traders, best chefs and a variety of things to do, watched, or tried by people of all ages.

This year’s festivals welcomed two most famous chefs, James Martin and Ainsley Harriott, who turned the event into a culinary paradise for those who love and enjoy cooking and learning. James Martin, who had already made an appearance at the festival, once again proved his great standing and love to the event that can be deservedly called the best festival in the UK. Choosing his most beloved recipes and making never-ending explatations, James showed every one present at the festival why the venue had been such charming and tasty pleasure. Ainsley, otherwise, had given the event a bit of Caribbean flavor, arrwnging Rum Fiesta that was not only interesting, but also extremely informative. However, the even in the center of the town was no less a pleasure to stay in; street events of all kinds surrounded by the Albert Halls, such as live miusic, correctan makers, or international relishes. The festival also attracred a great number of people with the diversity of dinners and the Faulty Towers The Dining Experience.

Speaking of the sustainality of the event, it seems to be of great importance to Bolton, becoming better and bigger every year, attracting more and more peole, which number reached half of a million in the previous year. Including the local schools was also quite opportun; the sustainability competitions were a profitable and fun chance to become a member of the event.

I think that the success of the Festival of Food and Drink will be a starter point to multiple events taking place all over the country in some ten years with the same success and enjoyment. As culinary events have already become and integral part of the local tourism and culture, their evolution is obvious, and concerned with more informative and involving actions oboth on the parts of the local people and guests. Therefore, the Festival of Food and Drink has all opportunities for multiple appearances all over the UK, and every year it will welcome guests more numerous and curious for the tastes and joys of Bolton.
