Chelsea and Atletico Discuss Joao Felix Transfer Deal
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are in talks for a transfer involving Joao Felix and Conor Gallagher, aiming to enhance their team strategies.
According to Fabrizio Romano, in one of the biggest deals in european football, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are discussing a transfer that would mean Joao Felix making the move to Stamford Bridge in exchange for Conor Gallagher. This contract amendment is said to be part of the rapid moves taking place following the breakdown of Chelsea’s deal for Samu Omorodion because of a contract issue. Atletico Madrid, who are interested in raising funds for Julian Alvarez, believe that the inclusion of Felix in Gallagher’s deal is strategic and the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes is in London to conclude the transfer.
Both Chelsea and Atletico’s deals will be completed smoothly since Gallagher has already agreed to a £34m switch to Madrid. The two sides are set to engage and put in place a complex barter involving some players to prevent any eventual breakdown of the deal.
