Craig Doyle Impresses with Sweetbreads on MasterChef

Craig Doyle, the famous ITV presenter, took the chance to prove his culinary skills while participating in the latest season of BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef. Despite the difficulty of the ingredient he was presented with, that is sweetbreads, the man suffered no troubles devising a delicious recipe and went on to surpass the expectations in the intense first round of the competition.

The presenter decided to adopt a particularly risky strategy while cooking the sweetbreads, i.e., to deep fry the somewhat unfamiliar treat. Doyle also prepared a side in the form of an apple and fennel slaw, and a sauce, the garlic and herb crème fraîche. John Torode and Gregg Wallace were particularly impressed by his work, stating that Doyle’s sweetbreads were perfectly breaded, sufficiently crispy, and cooked exactly right. Wallace was particularly impressed by the way the flavors of the side and the sauce had complemented each other, and Torode could not find anything to criticize, which is generally high praise in cooking shows. The revelation of the man’s emotions when he realized that his work was no failure only helped to make him more endearing. The winning dish allowed Doyle to proceed to the next stage without a problem and made him the man to beat among the other celebrity participants.
