Disney's Animal Kingdom to Unveil Tropical Americas

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will see the construction of one of its biggest updates in the years. Disney was set to replace the touristic and outdated Dinoland U.S.A. part with an entirely new section titled Tropical Americas, one that would be inspired by the diverse South and Central American cultures. Disney announced this new oasis at this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Already announced as one of the highlights, Pueblo Esperanza was destined to be the epicenter of the imaginary south. The vivid visuals and outstanding South and Central American architecture and landscaping can make all guests wonder whatever some of this sight is real. The area is expected to dazzle with an actual hacienda, one of the biggest quick-service dining areas in Walt Disney World.

Moreover, the area will be opened with the first and biggest wood-carved carousel in Disney history, its themed animals based on Disney classics. An Encanto themed experience is expected to invite visitors inside the magical Casita, inviting them to see each room come to life. The magical home for all of the extraordinary family’s extraordinary gifts will lead guests right into Antonio’s room dubbed the “most spectacular” as it will take its style imagery architecture straight from a rainforest. Building will start in the fall this very year and end in 2027.
