Eurostar Cancels Train Services in August Due to Works

In a recent announcement, Eurostar has disclosed that it will be cancelling a number of train services between Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam, affecting the travel plans of many participants during the period from the 12th of August to the 29th of August. The most serious disturbances will be on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends.

According to the same source, such changes derive from ‘operational constraints’ and planned engineering works by SNCB, the Belgian state rail operator. As a result, all travelers intending to move across these European cities are expected to suffer from serious limitations due to the reduction of services available throughout the week.

Notwithstanding, the routes between London and Brussels or Paris are not affected by such modifications. Eurostar has taken measures to notify all passengers affected by the cancellations, addressing the issue in detail via email.

Such travelers will be given three options as a solution to the problem. First, they may be recommended to travel via the same route but on a different date or time. Alternatively, Eurostar suggests that the passengers can choose to redeem an e-voucher, where the third option is returning the ticket price in full.

All travelers affected by the changes are entitled to make their choices within three months from the original date planned, which adds to the overall flexibility offered by the train company.
