Jack Clarke Could Return to Leeds in a Pleasing Deal

Leeds United is in the process of finding replacements for important first-team players Crysencio Summerville and Rutter, with the transfer window coming to a close. Although Leeds has been linked with important signings from Norwich City and Stoke City in Jonathan Rowe and Million Manhoef respectively, it is Jack Clarke who could return to Leeds from Sunderland in the most pleasing deal for the fans and some of Leeds’ pundits.

Leeds fan pundit Kris Smith emphasised the immediacy of the need to bring new players in for the entirety of the side’s promotion tilt. “Losses of 20 goals and nine assists from last season evidently mean we need to fill these boots and walk straight into the Premier League in style and taking yet another chance on Clarke seems like a step in the right direction.” Clarke has been in impressive form at Sunderland and product of the Leeds academy has played a crucial part in their impressive offensiveness.

However, wherein the addition of Clarke would be a brilliant coup for Leeds both from a sentimental and footballing point of view, the possibility of this move remains very low. Sunderland are vocally opposed to the idea of letting him go, with the financial implications potentially posing a big problem for Leeds. In any event, new additions are needed and Leeds United are fully set on finding the right players on to give their squad the necessary firepower for a strong promotion onslaught.
