Jey Uso and Damian Priest Triumph in SmackDown Battle

Jey Uso unexpectedly joined forces with one-time opponent Damian Priest as the duo faced a daunting challenge from The Imperium on SmackDown in Hollywood, Fla. After an intense episode that saw Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga get the better of Roman Reigns The post-show was a nice addition to what made it intriguing.

It led to a chaotic situation after World Heavyweight Champion Gunther's match went awry when Ludwig Kaiser caused disqualification stemming from his interference in the Jey Uso battle. But Damian Priest soon moved in and evened up the score. It took Priest and Uso a little more than six minutes to pick up the win, with Uso pinning Kaiser after they both unleashed their offense together.

SmackDown started off on a sombre note for this episode with the passing of Afa Anoa'i making news and shadowing over the evening. In the wake of a personal tragedy, The Tribal Chief's cousins and other members of his bloodline — again including Jey Uso — carried on in dedication to their late uncle while stepping up to rally behind Reigns.
