Kamala Harris Leads in Polls Over Trump by Three Points

The most recent PBS News/NPR/MARIST POLL sees Kamala Harris leading Tim Walz, over Donald Trump by a meager three points nationally. However, this is within the same poll’s margin of error. The poll also marks a massive shift of voter will from President Biden’s favor after he ruled out the possibility of running. The survey details also say that voters are deeply divided over the possible outcomes of the election.

Harris’ choice for a running mate, Walz, also has a lot of support behind him, especially from black voters. A similar backing is echoed by college-educated and independent women. The surge of support among these demographics has, in no doubt, rejuvenated efforts to push the democrats’ campaigns.

The most critical phase of the election now begins for both politicians as they head to the democratic convention. The numbers from this poll will see states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan become both temporary and permanent homes for the leads in the race. For Harris and Walz, Pennsylvania becomes the focus, and so is the case with Trump and JD Vance. The seeming winner over any economic discourse, Harris falls under Trump with a small dragging difference, but things are positively working for Harris on immigration matters. Notwithstanding, the two politicians have their work cut out for them in the days or months before the tally when a winner will finally emerge.
