Krafton Acquires Tango Gameworks to Bolster Gaming Portfolio

The South Korean games publisher Krafton has officially acquired Tango Gameworks, a developer of such innovative games as “The Evil Within” series and “Hi-Fi Rush”, which earned global recognition. This acquisition is a part of Krafton’s global expansion strategy, meaning the two companies will now cooperate to increase the value of Krafton’s portfolio with thriving IP for demanding audiences.

The strategic agreement of the studio’s transition with Xbox and the new owner’s offer will provide continuity for the development team which will continue their work on the “Hi-Fi Rush” IP and start a new game production. Moreover, the partnership will provide fertile ground for the employees’ growth and will guarantee its support and the availability of the developer’s previous games.

The acquisition of the previously liquidated developer, which was to be shut down in May 2024, by another ambitious and vigorous member of the gaming community highlights the experience and understanding of the market by the now saved TNT Gameworks’ development team. Additionally, the games producer now further strengthens its position in the interactive entertainment sector.
