Mikey Johnston's Uncertain Future at Celtic Discussed

Mikey Johnston, Celtic winger, is experiencing perhaps his most uncertain time in the eight years he has spent with the bhoys, especially since the summer transfer window is coming to a close. Although the player has shown potential, he has witnessed mixed performances and recurrent injuries throughout his time in Glasgow. He was subsequently sent out on loan, with one of them at West Bromwich Albion standing out for the number of goals, seven, he netted last season.

In addition, after welcoming Johnston to the first team in 2017, Rodgers thought it was unusual how it would end. Following a pre-season in which Johnston played well, the gaffer disclosed that his time at the club was apparently up, owing to the desire to play for himself from the son. He also confirmed that more than one interested party had already approached them in an effort to have him signed. “Mikey has certainly done everything he possibly could in pre-season,” Rodgers said. “I know him better than any other player and we have a very open relationship.” Nevertheless, he recently suffered a facial injury in the game against Hibernian which will see him miss the coming Scottish League Cup encounter and has an eye socket damage. Thus, all parties hope this injury will not stop a transfer from taking place by the end of the transfer window.
