Miley Cyrus Overwhelmed at Disney Legend Award

Miley Cyrus, the famous star who made a career by acting in the role of Hannah Montana, achieved a historical point of being the youngest one to be awarded the title of Disney Legend ever. According to the event during D23 in Anaheim, California, the star, 31, was overwhelmed when thunderous applause accompanied her stepping on the stage. Getting the mic, she confessed, “You guys, that was a really good intro. I don’t know if her speech is gonna be good, but the intro was great!”.

In the speech she addressed to the public, Cyrus mentions about the first days on the “Hannah Montana” set, telling that she would never be a “Disney kid” of a production line as it was commonly thought. Recalling the casting, she also told that the 12-year-old star was a reserve and some other girl was expected to play the role, “However from the point that I got the role — I heard, ‘SD, the series producer that I affectionately call Smiley, we had a tough time removing the smile off of my face” — my life changed forever. I was moved, and I knew that there was a force, energy, power, greater than we. Our show is within the reach of thousands of people. And I’ve got a sense of what life is about. Since that day, I’ve never wanted anything else”.
