Pennsylvania Man's Death Misreported as Missing

A Facebook post that was meant to cause confusion by claiming that a Pennsylvania man who died earlier this year is missing has gone viral. The post claims that he went missing on “yesterday morning” and that his truck was found with his baby girl still inside. In reality, a 36-year-old Pennsylvania man was first reported as missing on April 5. The body was found four days later in the submerged truck in Monongahela river. While the claims in the post are false, it is clear that they have upset the man’s acquaintance and many others who feel the need to respond to original post. Meanwhile, the Brighton Township Police Department “that right now, there is no evidence to suggest any foul play or that there was anything suspicious involved.” While upholding informational standards is highly important, it is probably best for more people to avoid sharing the original post and simply report it.
