Ronaldo's Disappointing Season with Al Nassr Detailed

Despite the star’s goalscoring exploits, Cristiano Ronaldo’s maiden season with Al Nassr was ultimately disappointing as the team lost the Kings’ Cup final to bitter rivals Al Hilal. The Portuguese forward joined the Saudi Arabian outfit in the summer of 2022, after the 2022 World Cup, and saw his new side struggling against formidable opposition, including league title loss to Al Ittihad and agony of an AFC Champions League campaign.

Currently getting ready for their opening round of the new season, Al Nassr will play Al Taawoun in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals. The fixture is scheduled to take place at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium and it will kick off at 12:15 p.m. CET. Ronaldo and his side will be looking to get their new season off to a perfect start and regain dominance over their domestic rivals. As things stand, Al Nassr have won a total of 28 official competitions and fans all over the world will be eager to see whether the 38-year-old forward will be able to help his side catch up with Al Hilal as one of the dominant forces in the Saudi Arabian game once again.
