Scott Bloomquist Remembered After Fatal Plane Crash

Sad news today as Scott Bloomquist, the famed dirt track racer, has been confirmed dead following a plane crash near his Mooresburg, Tennessee, home early Friday. The Rogersville Review reported that local rescue workers got to the site of a small aircraft crash around 8:30 a.m.

Bloomquist, 57, was inducted into the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame and will always be remembered as one of the all-time greats to have ever tried his hand at the sport. He’s racked up many wins all throughout his illustrious career and has always been eager to hop back into the driver’s seat, despite facing lots of adversity back in February as he had just gotten injured in a dirt bike crash and then complicating his situation last month after getting bitten by a horsefly.

Bloomquist was a massive fan of vintage airplanes just like his father, and the two would frequently show off some of their collection at various events. Many condolences to his family.
