Shauna Murtagh's Performance Highlights Festival

A vivid display of charisma and the feeling of community were shown by Leitrim’s representative Shauna Murtagh as she wowed the audience and judges at the International Rose of Tralee Festival. She rose through the ranks from being a 66/1 longshot to a 10/1 horse, after her performance that she rapped and playfully rowed with host Kathryn Thomas. This demonstrates not only Shauna’s great artistic abilities but also the ever-changing nature of the event, in which live performances determine the public reception.

The event that took place on RTÉ One is one of the celebrations of Irish culture. It lasted over 2 nights to observe the performances of the final 14 Roses, as they balanced the more traditional statements and contemporary vibes to perform on stage. The results of the event were not to be missed, and it RTÉ One will reprise its broadcast.

The event was introduced by the co-hosts Kathryn Thomas and Daithi O Se who brought excitement to the stage and to the audience. Among the participants, Casey Harris, representing Finglas, was happy to share her story from the heart. She expressed great joy for her origin and profuse support from her community. However, later, when she saw her mother and aunt, who in the previous years “played the Rose of Tralee” in the local festivities and daydreamed about getting on the main stage, she wondered about their true stereotypes.

Such dynamics of the International Rose of Tralee Festival not only help to discover the hidden talents of women but also have positive effects on the social attitudes in their hometowns. At the same time, the dynamics of the event become more and more exciting and fully dependent on the live performances.

At the same time, if the entire previous year was so rich, then the end of the decade is no less extraordinary. Hopefully, in the next decade, the International Rose of Tralee Festival will preserve its exciting grandeur and dynamic nature, attracting new participants and new ways to excite the audience. The format of the International Rose of Tralee Festival 2029 perfectly illustrates the changing nature of the cultural phenomena of the 21 st century but remains the popular and the significant event with great social function.
