Steelers Roster Updates for 2024 Training Camp

The pittsburgh steelers are actively working on their roster as a part of 2024 training camp operations. Several beneficial changes have already occurred to ensures that the team is further strengthened. On August 13, the team made a decision to waive/injured a just-signed Tarik Black, a wide receiver who quickly gained a position on the roster. Another critical acquisition was made on August 12 when Steelers took TyKeem Doss, an offensive lineman out of the waivers and from the Baltimore Ravens. Doss was not chosen in the 2023 NFL Draft and therefore looked to improve his skills at the Ravens’ practice squad: now his efforts are directed toward becoming a valuable asset for the rivals.

Furthermore, on Friday, the team brought back Dean Lowry, a veteran Defensive Lineman who enters his ninth season in the league. The Active List now features this acquired experience from the Green Bay Packers and minnesota vikings. Also, in recent days, the Steelers signed Marquiss Spencer as Defensive Lineman and Luqau Washington as Linebacker. However, they let go Easton Gibbs, a Linebacker, and placed Breiden Fehoko, a Nose Tackle, at the Reserve/Injured List. Overall, these changes are part of the roster’s complete refinement, which should positively affect the levels of competition. The pre-season games show the teams the condition of their players.
