United States international defender Tim Ream completed a switch to Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC, as reported on August 7, 2024. The move back to his home country opened a new chapter in the defender’s career, as he is eager to help to claim their first-ever MLS title.

Ream previously playing in England, where he turned out for Bolton and earned much more recognition with Fulham. The 36-year-old defender admitted that he is looking forward to trying his hand at making a success with Charlotte FC. “I’m here to win,” Ream stated.

The centre-back also pinpointed the time of the year he is joining, saying that is a special moment, “getting to know the guys as a person, getting to know them as a footballer.”

The defender’s status should prove valuable for coach Dean Smith as Charlotte FC begin to focus on the playoffs. Indeed, he is set to make his first appearance for his new side against New York Red Bulls, a team he previously represented in 242 clashes between 2010 and 2015.
