Tofu the Two-Toed Sloth Celebrates New Baby Arrival

The zoo community has received some fabulous news, and that is that Tofu, our dear two-toed sloth, has had her second baby on the last 29 of July. It is not known whether it is a boy or a girl yet, however, zookeepers have stated that the crumb looks strong and healthy. Over the next weeks and months of its life, the visitors can expect to see the little being hanging on its mother, Tofu, who will introduce it to the environment.

Usually, the mother-baby period of bonding lasts about 6-12 months, after which the furball will start navigating the forests on its own. The admissions have also not decided yet what to call the newcomer, and the name will be dependent on the gender. In any case, the event is momentous and vital for the zoo’s conservation and breeding efforts, and the fans of the endangered and unusual creature are invited to see the beautiful moment God has graced them with, as well as to learn more about the sloths.
