During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Disney revealed that the soundtrack for the upcoming film, titled “Tron: Ares,” will be composed by the legendary industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails. Moreover, the electric announcement was accompanied by a surprising guest appearance of the group’s frontmen – Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The members of the duo cited for their intense and atmospheric tunes had previously hinted at Disney’s collaboration on August 9, which contributed to the overall excitement in the announcement, and the premiere of the film is scheduled for October 10, 2025.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are distinguished masters in the film industry of musical scores whose work with David Fincher since 2010’s “The Social Network” has only illustrated their proficiency further. By the way, during their previous work with Disney, the composers have earned their Academy Award for Best Original Score for “Soul” released in 2020. However, the upcoming “Tron: Ares” will become the first movie to be officially credited to Nine Inch Nails, which only adds to the vast bounty of the new Disney science-fiction sequel. The duo has previously hinted at their involvement in the project with an Instagram post referencing their 1990s hit “Head Like A Hole” and declaring that the score will be just as the audiences like it – “You are going to get what you deserve!”.
